Social events
Off the golf course and tennis courts, there is a fascinating number of annual events organized for our members at Lochmoor Club and their families. The Club's social calendar caters to every season and every taste. A complete list of activities is actually too long for this section, but the celebrations include the holiday Christmas tree trimming party and the Family Christmas Party. The Easter Bunny has his day as does Mothers Day and Fathers Day. There are sun-drenched pool parties and pool parties for adults only. We are patriotic at our 4th of July celebration and Norman Rockwell would be proud. Hot dogs to high jinks, fun is in. The 4th is also the time when the City of Grosse Pointe Woods puts on its annual fireworks display...from the very service area of our golf course. Just pick up your beach chair and find a quiet spot to enjoy a spectacular show with your family and guests and without cars, crowds and barking dogs. Heaven. When you throw in Casino Trips, Comedy Nights and Halloween, your energy may falter before you run out of activities designed for your enjoyment. You should, however, be ready for the President's Ball and the springtime extravaganza, Back to the Club Night, to celebrate the passing of Winter and the joy of Spring. |
