Junior Golf Tee Levels

There will be five levels to the Junior Golf program, each based on a skill set (not age). As the child progresses through the various levels, the skills test will become progressively more difficult. When the child has passed all ability checkpoints on a level, they will advance to the next level.
  1. ALMOST GOLF
Our first Personal Tee Level, Almost Golf, will be an introduction to the game of golf. Children will be introduced to the golf course, full swing basics, chipping and putting. A skills test will be passed prior to moving to the Blue Tee Level.
Cost: Golf Member - $150/child, Social Members and Golf Member Grandchildren* $275/child

  2. BLUE TEE
These golfers will have passed the Almost Golf skill set. They will begin playing the golf course from the Blue Tee markers (roughly 1,800 yards). When they have passed all ability checkpoints in the Blue Tee Level, they will graduate to the Gold Tee Level.
Cost: Golf Member - $225/child, Social Members and Golf Member Grandchildren* $350/child

  3. GOLD TEE
The next Personal Tee Level golfers will play from are the Gold Tee markers (roughly 3,600 yards). When they have passed all the ability checkpoints in the Gold Tee Level they will progress to the Red Tee Level.
Cost: Golf Member - $225/child, Social Members and Golf Member Grandchildren* $350/child

  4. RED TEE
These Junior Golfers will play from the Red Tee markers (roughly 5,000 yards). Upon completion of the Red Tee Level, Junior Golfers will have demonstrated the ability to play competent golf as well as conduct themselves in an appropriate manner on the golf course. When they have passed all the ability checkpoints in the Red Tee Level, they will graduate and become a Green Bag Tag member.
Cost: Golf Member - $225/child, Social Members and Golf Member Grandchildren* $350/child

  5. GREEN BAG TEE
The Junior Golfer for whom this applies will be given a Green Bag Tag, which must be prominently displayed on his or her golf bag. The Green Bag Tag will allow the Junior Golfer to play Lochmoor Club and use the practice facilities unaccompanied by an adult during non-peak times. Once you have graduated to the Green Bag Tag level you will be considered to be an eighteen hole golfer. This should be every Junior Golfer’s goal!
Cost: Golf Member - $225/child, Social Members and Golf Member Grandchildren* $350/child

How to Pass a Level

A Junior Golfer must schedule an appointment with one of the Golf Professionals and perform the skill tests necessary to pass with the Golf Professional present. The Junior Golfer will be eligible to take the skills portion of the test once he or she has shown proper form.  If proper form is not shown, no skills test will be given.  The Junior Golfer must be ready to test at the designated time of the skills test.  Any and all practice shots are to be done prior to the actual testing time.

Please Note
: Practicing the skills test and forms is a great way to take off the pressure when the time comes in front of t
he Golf Professional.
